Dragon Boat Festival 2009

Powergroup's Dragon Boat crew 'Power Pullers' took to the water last Sunday (June 28th 2009) for the Milton Keynes annual Dragon Boat Festival. Comprised of Powergroup employees (with a few friends), Power Pullers were buoyed with excitement at competing in their first Dragon Boat Festival.

Competing against 56 other teams from the Milton Keynes area, Power Pullers came in a solid (if rather lowly) 45th. Monday morning and back at Powergroup HQ excuses for not progressing into the later rounds of the competition included: "Too much sun" or "excessive hospitality". Whatever the reason for Power Pullers below par paddling a great day was had by almost 70 Powergroup employees, friends and family.

2008's Dragon Boat Festival raised £17,000 for charity and Powergroup are proud to contribute and take part in this year's festival.
